Bethel Track & Field Meet Review
Bethel Track & Field Meet Review
Thursday, May 20, 2010
Yesterday, SOSA participated in it’s first volunteer project with success. We had a small but dedicated group of volunteers on hand who helped with the meet despite the Oregon Spring showers. At this particular meet most of the volunteers were stationed at the finish line recording times and places for the student-athletes who competed in the 100m, 400m, and the 4x100m Team Relay. Other volunteers were scattered across the infield helping with a number of field events including Long Jump and High Jump. The controlled chaos of so many grade levels and events occurring simultaneously kept everyone on their toes! SOSA loved seeing the passion of all the parent-volunteers who helped run the meet, the individual school coaches, and last but most importantly, the student-athletes who ran in the wind and rain and jumped into wet sand pits! SOSA will keep Bethel School District close and future events in conjunction with Bethel are more than likely. Thanks again to all the volunteers, SAVE OUR STUDENT-ATHLETES!
